After the period in which the Chinese smartphone market recorded a drop in shipments, a quarter in which the Chinese market is recording signs of recovery.
According to Digitimes, the market recorded a 2.2% annual delivery increase. A total of 94.2 million units were delivered in comparison to 90 million devices shipped during the first quarter of this year.
Good results in the second quarter were achieved thanks to the success of four leading Chinese smartphone manufacturers (Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo), which recorded a 10% growth in the second quarter.

However, for the second half of the year, there are no optimistic forecasts, Huawei, Oppo and Vivo could record a drop in shipments in a single-digit and two-fold percentage on the Chinese market in the last two quarters of the year.
Apple iPhone deliveries have recorded a sequential decline, but this year’s models are expected to be introduced, which should again be boosted by Apple’s sales in the Chinese market.
